Please see the message below from our Playground Planning Committee. We are thankful for everyone's time and support!

Ross Glen Community,

This letter serves as a formal invitation for volunteers to participate in the assembly of new playground equipment at Ross Glen School in Medicine Hat. This project represents an exciting and meaningful improvement for our students, as the current playground equipment no longer meets modern safety standards. The new structure will provide a safer, more engaging environment for children for years to come.

Without the required volunteers, the project cannot move forward. The installation work is scheduled to begin on July 2nd, 2026, and is anticipated to take approximately seven days to complete. Each workday will consist of 12 hours, and we hope to organize volunteers into two 6‑hour shifts per day, or another arrangement that best accommodates volunteer availability. We aim to have 5–6 volunteers on-site at all times to ensure steady progress and safe operations.

All volunteers will be required to bring and wear the following personal protective equipment (PPE):

Your participation in this project will directly contribute to the well-being and happiness of the children in our community. Please feel free to reach out to family members and friends to ask for their help as well. We deeply appreciate any time and support you are able to offer.

If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Kristine Hyde at kristina_segall@hotmail.com.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a positive impact.

Sincerely,

Spencer Torrie
